Totes NKY, a trade name of Yard Guard LLC ("we" or "us"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use totesnky.com or book with us, and how we use it.
1. Information we collect
- Booking details: your name, email, mobile number, drop-off and pickup addresses, rental dates, package and add-ons, drop-off spot, stairs details, notes, and how you heard about us.
- Payment information: handled by Stripe. We see the payment status, amount, and basic card details like the brand and last four digits, but never your full card number.
- Messages: texts and emails you send us.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider may log your IP address and browser type for security and performance.
2. How we use it
- To confirm, deliver, pick up, and bill your rental.
- To send messages about your rental: confirmations, reminders, receipts, and a review request.
- To answer your questions and resolve problems.
- To keep records for taxes and accounting, and to prevent fraud.
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Stripe, to process payments and save your card for fees under the Rental Agreement.
- Netlify, which hosts our website and booking system.
- U.S. Census Bureau Geocoder, which receives the address you enter to check whether we deliver there.
- Google, for email and our booking records and calendar.
- Quo, our business phone service, for texts and calls.
- Our accountant, and authorities when the law requires it.
Text messaging: we don't share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared.
4. Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or HELP for help.
- Ask us to see, correct, or delete your information by emailing hello@totesnky.com. We may keep what we need for taxes, accounting, or an open rental.
5. How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records as long as needed for the rental and for tax and accounting purposes, usually up to 7 years, and delete or anonymize them after that.
6. Security
We use reputable providers with encryption, keep payment data with Stripe, and limit access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Cookies
Our site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe's checkout page may use cookies for security and fraud prevention, and our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. If we add analytics later, we'll update this policy.
8. Children
Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
